- The price includes up to 5 days of surf lessons in a group (theory and practice - approx. 3 hours per day), wetsuit and board.
- The starting times of the course can vary daily, as the course is adapted to the prevailing tides, wind and wave conditions.

It was a really cool week. Lovely team, well-equipped accommodation, with pool in beautiful surroundings. The surf instructors gave very good tips, which helped even those with previous experience.
Very cool community, very social. Very good surf coaches and sensible advice. Nice accommodation and good beach location. Good surf camp for every surfing level. Furthermore, the surf coaches offer constructive criticism regarding the surfing style. Through the surf camp I got to know a lot of new people, life perspectives and learned better surfing skills.
I was here at the surf camp for a week and had a mega great time. We surfed for 3 hours a day, had great surf instructors with us and ended the day in the surf villa. There's nothing I could find fault with. It was great and I can only recommend it to improve your surfing skills!

We had only booked the surf course without the camp. Unfortunately, we were a bit unlucky with the weather, but an excursion was offered as an alternative.
About the surf course itself: the instructors were very nice and competent. Communication with the surf school was very good, even though we didn't stay overnight. The equipment made a good impression.

I completed my surf course at the Mission to Surf Portugal Camp in the 2024 pre-season (April). I can confirm some of the - good - impressions described here in other reviews. The surf instructors are great, super friendly and helpful. We were a smaller group, so the team was probably able to pay more attention to us. The beaches were chosen according to wind and wave conditions. As we also had theory lessons, I was able to better assess the conditions myself over the course of the week and understand the surf instructors' behavior on the beaches. The camp itself is self-catering. Breakfast is organized and prepared by the camp team. For the rest of the afternoon and evening, you can cook your own meals or eat out. The team on site will be happy to provide tips and information. Just ask for them. Some would say that it is sometimes a bit "chaotic" on site. From another perspective, however, it is perhaps just a more relaxed, southern mentality, which is not always familiar in everyday life in Austria 😉 . I had organized a rental car as the accommodation is a bit far away from restaurants and stores. Even if a transfer from the surf camp is well organized for the arrival and departure, it is probably more flexible with your own car during the week. And yes, the surfing was very challenging, even for me as an absolute beginner. 🙂 All in all, I would do it again - or rather, I can recommend booking there to any interested surfing beginner. The area around Arrifana is well worth exploring. Thanks again to the whole team, the surf instructors and all the nice people I met on the course during the week!
